Fluent Web: Narrative Animations

Showcasing animations on the web is challenging. Technical factors such as responsiveness, browser compatibility, weight, and file formats dictate whether animations enhance or hinder a user's experience with the latter being frequent.

By adopting and implementing the use of Lottie in Windows Services products, our team bypassed almost all technical issues, and displayed animations in our products that were as intended.

The realiability and consistency of the plugin and process drove a new push animated content. Creating an effort to define animation, interaction, and usage principles around narrative animations. The guidance was published onto Fluent web, Microsoft’s latest web design languange.
